Search for "Broca and Wernicke" to learn more about the distinct areas of the brain responsible for producing vs processing language.

There's been too much guessing already. Anthropic employees answered in this thread almost 4h before your response.

Your dismissive assertion is rude and inaccurate.

Larn was a text-based RPG that was in fact easily run as a networked game over a modem to a server at GenRad where my dad worked. Details escape me (it was over 40 years ago, I was like 12 years old) but these basics are factual.

Get off my lawn! I was playing Larn on my dad's VT100 long before the C64 was released.

that's incredibly confusing. what's the point of the tag if the version is really the sha it happens to now point to? it only looks like semver?

Right, so it's not just git, it's a bunch of system-provided utilities; macOS trusts bad certs, and these utils that trust the OS are affected. I use homebrew for my git and curl but haven't yet checked to confirm whether that matters here. Kind of outrageous that Apple's guidance is to edit the cert chain manually, and to expect that subsequent OS updates may revert your mitigation, reintroducing the vulnerability (as happened at least once so far).

I'd love to hear your ideas about what makes TanStack Start less "serious" than Astro

> "SpaceX has the vertical integration to be able to plonk down datacenters and get them powered with literal jet/rocket engines/turbines that they make from scratch"

Is that really a viable path? (Honest question)

Yeah, that's what I figured too. Sadly, that shallow / kneejerk response leads to unearned mindshare advantage for problematic incumbents like Next.js, and risks stifling meaningful improvement.

TanStack Start absolutely merits a closer look. It's not a flash in the pan or "the new shiny". It's the robust, coherent, independent and logical evolution of battle-hardened wisdom and brilliant design and implementation from first principles. See TanStack Router and TanStack Query for more evidence and background context. I've been around the block (25+ years in webdev) and gained a deep appreciation for Tanner's way of thinking. No affiliation, just a grateful user trying to help others notice by amplifying the signal in the noise.

P.S. Yes I wrote ~"it's not X, it's Y". No I didn't use genAI to write here (nor anywhere, ever).

I'd be grateful if whoever downvoted my comment could explain what they found objectionable.

+1 for TanStack Router (and TanStack Start if your needs evolve to merit a metaframework).
