I will happily take the other side of that bet

Their debt comes due. Most likely they get debt from a different bank or private credit firm to pay down the old debt.

Those who can’t refinance will sell assets or the business.

I dont think your comment reflects what happens in board rooms and internally at large companies. I am paying for the senior partner to have conversations with me on how others before me have done this. The packaging of a PowerPoint is to be able to efficiently share that data with others in the firm.

Is it smart for individuals to have conversations with others about their problems? This is that for CEOs and senior executives.

I think their integration work and consulting is second to none. Companies don’t always know how to stack rank growth opps or M&A

Corporate taxes should likely be viewed as an ROI on grants and tax breaks. A generational shift would likely need to happen to get there.

How much does Eli Lilly receive in grants or tax breaks and how much do they pay? Should the federal government break even or return 20%?

Well, despite all the negativity about trying to fit something, I find the outline inter sting and appreciate you creating it. I like trying to see all the potential fits plus I was not aware of the number of games available that I never played.

Agreed. The problem is we are already there. This is a similar theme to the front page story today about malicious code and Google’s automated response

As you look at everyone’s healthcare, we have every provider adopting an agentic billing solution and every payor adopting an agentic dispute solution. Two AIs fighting over their $200 payment while my deductible is $5k

Anthropic is terrible too. I couldn’t rectify my spending versus my usage. Automated assistant shows me where things are that I am already asking about. Gets escalated and person doesn’t respond to my question. Back to automated with multiple requests to escalate before they will do it

Anecdotally, I think there are more rich children at Harvard than Yale (more legacies, more donations to get their child in, etc). Those people have more time to take a risk as a founder than non-wealthy.

We all just look at energy as a price. I think more people are concerned if our prices will go up, not how much energy it uses. The bigger question is water.

How much water do they use? Is it potable to begin with? Is it usable after? Will they drive prices up. These are one time builds with minimal jobs created after for a tech that could end my career. If I lose my job, I don’t also want to have no water and higher bills.

This is the venture model now though. Spend until profitable. Uber did it. It seems OpenAI could do it as well given we seem to be in a 2 horse race for foundation models and having capital to get better pushes them further ahead.

Gemini is number 3 in this race

I think about Bluey a lot in these situations. Fantastic show but because of the contract the Australian entity has sold licensing for everything. I wish they didn’t do sugary foods and a few other items. But it would be hard to turn down generational wealth

But growth rates could make that a bargain. If the market has taught us anything since 2009, it’s don’t underestimate growth
