Yea that Charizard stopped being printed decades ago; however they have no problem printing cards that look identical to the originals other than a small logo, which many people get and feel no need to acquire the original Charizard. I don't think demand in this case is nostalgia driven - it seems more likely that the heavy presence of scalpers making it difficult for average people to acquire product at MSRP has been causing the demand to skyrocket, in addition to celebrities like Jake Paul hype streaming.

Printing supply is not infinite, theoretical or otherwise. They are printing as much as they can, and currently have a new factory scheduled for construction. Once the factory is online, the supply & demand curve will almost certainly be affected. If it gets to a point where product is abundantly available at MSRP then suddenly the scalpers move to a different market to scalp and long lines of people camping in front of Target overnight dissipate. It will be interesting to see how the market dynamics change once the factory is complete.

They do have more money, less spending power.

Not a failure to me. It is the most exciting piece of computer hardware to program apps for that I've purchased in the last decade. I understand why others consider it a failure though, and wonder how it would have performed if it weren't so expensive.

My hope was that it was going to pave the way for apple to release a pair of glasses that had some of the functionality of the Vision Pro. I'm guessing this is still one of their goals, however Meta and even SnapChat beat them to it.

Not just feedback, Lean provides validation as well.

Why is a citation necessary rather than simply wording the statement to more accurately reflect the situation?

Bread is sold both sliced and unsliced, sometimes geographic location impacts which variation is predominant.

Attempting to solve & solving open math problems probably is a good benchmark for comparing models and gauging model progression. A lot of useful info is obtained like time needed to solve the problems, identifying when not to chase dead ends, thought processes & logic steps, etc.

Yes but considering N10 was fabricated with DUV lithography right before the shift to EUV I'm not sure how fair that comparison is. That being said the density scaling of N10 nodes compared to predecessors using the same lithography technique was much higher than we have seen since with the EUV nodes. Density scaling is the most meaningful comparison metric, but it doesn't take into account additional technology developments.

This is not true, and choosing the LD50 of Melathion to represent organophosphates as a whole seems odd. He was probably thinking of nerve agents or perhaps pesticides. Take a look at the LD50's of the former. These are among the nastiest, most lethal substances known to man.

I didn't think statusline ate tokens, is this true?

I understand why it is a reasonable acquisition target for PE and worthy of exploration, but I’m not sure I understand how being acquired by PE would keep Dropbox alive longer other than shaking up the leadership and shifting priorities. Perhaps aggressively targeting enterprise customers currently using Box after rolling out the necessary features?

No but the Clay Mathematics Institute will give you $1,000,000 if you solve one of the 6 remaining Millennium Prize Problems, and if you solve certain Erdos problems you can get $10-10,000.

Not sure if people not caring about cash flow and profitability is applicable across the board, it might just be because SpaceX is one of Elon's companies which seem to defy traditional financial analytic standards.

I've been using LLMs to create visualizations for math papers I come across. Prompting "Create a visualization for each segment of this article in the style of a 3 brown 1 blue video using manim." has yielded impressive results.

It helps me digest the content faster and allows me to read more articles than I otherwise would.

Thinking Machines, the started founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati. The interaction models demo’s in their videos imo breaks the awkward turn-based barrier. Returning responses quickly reaches a threshold where it starts to feel like a natural conversation. Their approach to solving this problem is rather clever.

This is only true under the assumption that RAM price per GB scales linearly.
