That sounds like a hardware or driver thing, specifically related to GPU, rather than a Windows issue. You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome.

Facebook can't win. If they stand back and do nothing people scream about them being enablers of fake news, propagating misinformation and other things.

But if they remove posts that are reported then they are accused of censorship, of "unaccountable tyranny"

So what are they expected to do then?

> The vast majority of folks shouldn't notice a change in their search results.

I'm not sure what you meant by this. How is this the case when repos with no commit within the last year (which is extremely common) are no longer indexed?

I doubt that's the reason, given Microsoft's resources.

This sucks. I use code search from time to time to find example usages of obscure APIs. With this change it's more or less useless now.

I love Firefox, I use it everyday, I can't imagine using a browser without Tree Style Tab, or all the things that I can do in about:config.

At the same time, I can't shake off the dreadful feeling that it will eventually die one day. The market share keeps falling year by year.

What is the most realistic future for Firefox?

I wonder how this data changes in Asian countries. I would expect the end section (time spend in later years) to be vastly different, although that may be changing.

I especially hate it for reddit AMP links, since 100% of the time I have to click on the original link anyway to read the full comments, so it's an extra middle step for no good reason.

I've never experienced anything like that in IntelliJ, and I've used it everyday for years now. Granted there are bugs especially around big releases, but I've never seen any UI bug like you described. Everything is always smooth and responsive.

What do you mean 2-5x C++ performance?

I think that's the point of the comment you replied to. Biden did quite badly early on in the primaries, and only after a large chunk of other candidates dropped out and threw their weight behind him with endorsements that he did significantly better. In a sense, the party has made up its mind on the candidate it wants.

When I first joined one of my previous jobs, the build process had a checkout stage where it was blowing away the git folder and checked out from scratch the whole repo every time (!). Since the build machine was reserved for that build job I simply made some changes to do git clean -dfx & git reset --hard & git checkout origin branch. It shaved off like 15 minutes of the build time, which was something like 50% of the total build time.

Maybe I'm too skeptical, but this seems a bit too obvious to me. Why would you try to poison someone with no real threat to you and risk him becoming a martyr, using a method that immediately brings you to mind, with a nerve agent that is also strongly linked to you?
