I see the dangers of AI and agree that many companies don’t value our privacy and do what’s best for them and not us, but…
…this is an emotional dogmatic post. „All of this garbage“ clearly shows that the author is stuck in the past. The banners on the website confirm this. It’s the figurative fanatic complaining about those black steam devils and their tracks that nobody needs and that destroy nature. Yeah, steam trains were noisy and created smoke, but the age of horses was over. No emotional outburst would have stopped that, and won’t stop AI now.
The unconditional and emotional rejection of AI undermines the actual valid point he is trying to make.

Is it possible to integrate Noodle into iOS, i.e. upload new photos into noodle automatically, browse them on the iPhone and if I delete them on my iPhone sync this deletion to the server? AFAIK iOS discriminates against non-Apple apps and does not let them run background jobs.

There is no prosecution. AFAIU, you’re simply denied access without payment. HTTP code 402 is „payment required“. You‘re basically buying an access token for one hour.

Yes, it matters. You can try to distract and do as much mental gymnastics as you want but everyone rational can clearly see that one thing is doing politics for software (free drivers, open source, no DRM, …) and the other is about virtue signaling about subjects that are completely unrelated.
Btw, feel free to label me however you want (others did already), which shows that they have no arguments and resort to pidgeonholeing and name calling.

I lament the times when open source projects were open source software projects instead of political platforms for people who arrogantly think that their private political opinion is important enough to overshadow the project they participate in.
This will undoubtedly create tensions and will lead to fewer donations, thus having a negative impact on KDE.

Can you explain? AFAIK Godot uses C++ under the hood which does not have garbage collection. Other languages such as C# and GDScript use bindings.

Another software project feels it’s necessary to dive into divisive politics when it should just make good software. It’s sad, really. Now what I think of when I hear „Zig“ is a community of self-important, immature and delusional people instead of thinking about the undeniable advantages of the Zig language.

Is it really that hard to increase the bandwidth in 2025 to get mic quality that doesn’t sound awful? Opus can be really efficient at low bitrates AFAIK.

What exactly is this? Windows application firewall? Network proxy I install on a separate computer? Is it available for other operating systems? I skimmed though the website and am already annoyed because I didn’t find answers to those simple questions.
