I’m ashamed to admit I do this on my work account sometimes… Not for looking up a basic fact of course.

I wish they would let me use claude desktop, I really hate looking at the terminal and don’t know how to customize it to make it more readable

I don’t know about typing but writing things by hand definitely commits them to memory in a much stronger way than just saying them out loud.

I imagine that typing isn’t as effective but is still way more effective than just reading because you really have to consider every single word.

What doesn’t last, their friends? That’s just because the grow up and get jobs and if they have kids spend all their free time taking care of them.

If I didn’t have a job right now I would be driving all around the country catching up with every single person I haven’t been able to talk to. I would go spend a couple weeks with each of them and also spend time camping along the way.

Wow that’s awesome to see. Sorry you have epilepsy but what an exciting time for medicine.

It’s wild, the USA and China are basically the same country. Like they both do the same exact stuff lol. The biggest difference is restriction of certain information in China, but I would argue that’s mainly because they’ve been playing defense because the USA invented and owns the global mass media brainwash machine.

But human rights abuses, suppression of segments of the populace, relying on slave labor, weaponized economics, intense love of malls and shopping plazas… we are the same

This is interesting, thanks for sharing. It looks like all the hamburger menu links are leading to a 404 for me on mobile though (didn’t try desktop).

Does the “analysis” tab in this app imply that this software does its own cdj compliant beatgrid and phrase/key analysis? If so, do you find it works better than Rekordbox?

Obviously phased rollouts are fine and even necessary like you said. That’s not really “experimenting on people”, it’s experimenting on the network/system.

I constantly experiment on users in my work. It’s all around extracting the most money you possibly can. Meanwhile we have mountains of UX interview material where people tell us exactly what’s wrong with our site, and we don’t implement any of it lol.

Profits are up though! In a big way! And our users continue to hate us more and more.

Isn’t the idea that they’re limiting the amount of gpu time normal users get to spend on the “thinking” portion of their query?

I think that’s the claim in the post, that even though no one can see the true chain of thought, that even the “thinking” text that does get exposed to the user is shorter given the same prompts over time. Not saying it’s true but I think that’s the claim. I’ve personally never noticed the alleged “nerfing” with my enterprise use at work or my subscription use at home which is only during off hours.

This is not true. They claim not to train by default for business and enterprise agreements, but for plus and pro plans they enable it by default and you can allegedly turn it off (I don’t trust them very much though, I’m sure there is something in the T&C saying they can modify that deal any time)

The GLM 5.1 one where the pelican is missing because it’s broken would be a great candidate. “A pelican enjoying a sunny ride!” is very “this is not a pipe”

I get what you’re saying, but my satirical comment was the clearest thing I could come up with to illustrate that your argument is all over the place and basically incoherent. You answer a lot of your own rhetorical questions in your own comment.

People who choose not to use screens one day a week are “deciding” not to use them for one day a week, for many reasons including some you mentioned yourself. But then you say “do you avoid electricity?”

You avoid putting a tv in your kids’ room tuned permanently to the news. Why? It would be damn-useful for them to learn what’s going on in the world. You literally let your kids use the screen way less than this guy allows himself to. You’re in agreement with him…

Why don’t you buy a TV and put it in your kids’ bedroom then? It might alert them before a natural disaster happens or something — it’s useful technology, after all.

No, it says “auto approved” after every evaluated command. Does it work? No idea, I can’t think of a time it ever stopped, but I’m also not ever doing anything dangerous with it. It does use another model to evaluate the commands though.

It has had automode for a bit now. I use it every day at work.
