Imo problem with Java is... JVM because it's quite a resource intensive application itself, memory usage is orders of time magnitude worse than most of the language I've used.

I am going to give out different statement than the consensus being formed in this thread.

It is a criminal act by any manufacturer to sell a computer with 8G of memory specially when it is not upgradeable.

Go has a pretty decent standard library, you can go really far without adding a single third party library.

You can use replace directive in go mod then you'd be able to load library from local path

I think PostgreSQL in an excellent general purpose solution specially for OLTP usecases but what it lacks behinds is that it's hard to scale horizontally (sharding). There are solutions for this ofcourse with citus but I haven't experimented with it however I have tried MySQL with Vitess which almost seems like dark wizardry. I hope one day vitess works with PostgreSQL.

Do you not trust any opensource software and prefer only paid software to build your systems?
