> imagining that it is all CIA/FSB and so on denies agency to thousands of people who have put in the effort to change thier country

You're looking at it from a very narrow minded point of view. Those agencies push their agenda in very meticulous ways through many channels. While it may seem that the people are merely exercising their agency and pushing for change, the _direction_ they're pushing towards is what's decided by the agencies, at the very least.

This just plain won't happen. They'll either drive hardware prices through the roof, or heavily regulate open models. Radical changes are coming. It's a bleak, bleak future we live in.

Ironically enough, you using "GPT Astra" to query for such simple information is probably in no small way correlated to the state of software engineering (in these large corporations and otherwise) today.

That's the worst part, I'm never 100% sure, and that uncertainty is so ... disempowering?

That's one of the things I truly didn't get from my (very limited) experience with SQLAlchemy. Why not just have a method like orm.eq(User.id, user_id)? Much more readable.

Really wish these slop announcements stopped hitting the front page. It's the exact same thing every time. X bumped from N.Y to N.Y+1. wow

Both the scripts in the repository and the README seem to be fully AI-generated. The README in particular seems to be a summary of Claude's thinking process. Also both the script and the README are full of assumptions related to the specific host/configuration this was used on

Huh, I was unaware that BG3 had a native Linux release, as it's not listed on the Steam store page. Turns out that they released it only for the Steam Deck. Strange

Crippling personal computing isn't a side-effect of massive investments in data centers, but rather one of the primary drivers for it.
