How? Just let the lender get screwed, don't lenders have some risk after all?

"A structured civil society is the nearest we've managed to get to being able to live in relative freedom almost all of the time. It's the least violent, least coerced option we've been able to find."

Can you source these claims?

Civil society only seems to be getting LESS free and MORE violent all of the time. And in America, I constantly have to protect myself against enemies be it scammers or the thug who tried to mug me for my wallet.

Because Mexico is such a thriving, noble, high-trust empire right?

I'd say don't throw stones if you live in a glass house, don't think Mexico has much of a high horse to ride on lmao.

I dunno why you are getting downvoted for this. Enthusiasm to take orders is often valued far more then pure intellect. Have other people not made this observation or had this experience? Companies want good soldiers who follow orders not free-spirits.

"When you're on your deathbed work won't sit there with you and hold your hand."

Neither will my co-workers lol, but atleast work will buy me a comfier deathbed. Co-workers prob want me to die sooner so I drain less benefits.

I'm not trying to use logic to rationalize the use of atomic bomb on children and hospitals lmao, that would be you. What are you even talking about?

Hmm, using that logic I wonder how many countless young Russian lives Putin could save by using a nuclear weapon.

People like you will always make excuses for the U.S. crimes against humanity. Sure, your right, it was good think we dropped a nuclear bomb on civilians and hospitals, it was the right thing to do! It had to be done!

That's because there has only been one Empire depraved enough to use nukes against other human beings in war time.

That Empire was so depraved it dropped those nukes on hospitals and civilians not once, but twice.

But yeah, sure, we need to be worried about OTHER nations, who have never used nukes, right...

The real reason they can do it is they (the state) have a monopoly on violence and you don't.

I like the open platform model more myself (steam deck), but to ignore the trade offs both models present is a bit disingenuous.

One of the major reasons they raised the price on the steam deck is because it is an open platform. Since they have no guarantee you will ever buy or run steam software on the machine they need to make a profit on the hardware.

Nintendo is ECSTATIC to sell its console hardware at a loss to gain market share and software lock-in. This makes it much easier for someone trying to enter the hand-held console market to get decent hardware at a good price.

Like I said, I think the Steam model is more consumer friendly at the end of the day, but lets not act like both models don't have ups and downs for both the company and the consumer.

Yeah, I don't know what the other guy is talking about, but when you look at the birth of Truancy laws, it becomes obvious that state schooling was instituted so that you would believe the lies and indoctrination of the state over the wisdom and care of your family and community.

If schooling was about making it so people aren't tricked, why do they have you say an national anthem (that used to be called a prayer) pledging allegiance to the flag of the empire?

Its a very sick view of the world to think that the government is who has your back and cares about you and is the person you can trust, rather then your own flesh and blood family and community.

"for humans we come into this world as basically blank slates."

Can you source this? I thought we were pretty much expressions of our particular genetics and the biological human substrate we all inhabit. This is very much not a 'blank slate'. Every time I've tried to look into or steelman the blank-slate I can never come across hard science that backs up the assertion that we are all 'blank slates'.

Blank-slate seems to be more of a liberal idea then a scientific one.

Of everything he mentioned, your TDS causes you to only care that he voted for the 'other' teams star player? Our country (the U.S.) is doomed and deserves it.
