If anything, I think it would be ok to sell minerals to the best paying buyer.

US strategy is to pick up a fool with good marketing, inject a lot of money, win an election and rig the law so no contest happens.

So long for the "competitive capitalism" they so much preach about. You know how your politicians work in the inside, what makes you think they are less abusive with people they have no concern about.

Oh boy you should read about US participation in south america dictatorships and genocides. In colombia we have a century of war fueled by US, check banana massacre to begin with. And each country has its own series.

If we're talking about national interest, it's easy to tell which countries espionage affects us the most.

Well, they have their shady stuff, and they are also selling cheap stuff and killing local markets. And on their end of the world they are an empire like US is at this side.

Still, china are not the ones poisoning people criteria with AI ads and overtaking governments to sell entire countries to US funds.

Not talking about good or bad. I just say south people should defend south's national interest, which is not US interests as it has been demonstrated over the years.

I always feel amused at these takes from north american citizens.

From a latin american POV, it is same-ish as USA manufacturers, they're also tracking everything we do to sell us more unneeded stuff.

The difference is that chinese government is just trying to sell stuff, while USA government is trying to convert all the southern continent into a colony to impose governments and suck up minerals in the meantime. If you ask me if I trust more China or USA, at least China's intentions are clear and direct.

Of course, you people will always have the argument of "national interest" which for us (at least tech-literate people) that's no argument, but still you will find some bootlickers in the mobs.

And along those lines, I'd like to ask USA government to stop messing with other countries politics.

tv manufacturers don't want high end chips for their tv sets... hardware decoding is just a way to make cheaper chips for tvs.

And regarding availability, Colemak is now included in Windows 11, which makes it available out of the box in all 3 major OS's. Also, Colemak is an easy way to upgrade comfort in cases where you can't change the keyboard, like a laptop or shared computer.

I think US culture overall frowns upon non-original works. From school there's some push against working on something that is a copy of someone else's work. In the meantime China has mastered copying and made it a big part of their culture and economy.

Nowadays I'm learning game engine techniques by reading Godot code and implementing the damn same thing in my engine... Also, nowadays I like tracing pretty anime drawings... I enjoy it more and end up with something I like better than if I were to draw something original.

Fun way to look at it, you at the north give us a lot of planned obsolence goods in exchange for our monies. North even gets into politics pushing developing countries infrastructure towards oil economies. and then, we consume what you led us to, and suddenly we're the bad guys.

but now they added this task switcher to iPad which also appears when dragging from the left edge, and now going back is like rolling a dice. you don't know how how to go back without triggering the task switcher so it ends up taking multiple attempts to go back without the OS consuming the input

godot ticks at that rate, but if you don't transform UI things, they don't get redrawn. so maybe the framebuffer is switched every frame, but draw calls shouldn't be reissued unless needed.

also, I think it is possible to make it not tick from time updates, but only from input event updates, or maybe an animation actually running. similar to what the editor does.

That is exactly the point. That is the impression, impression made by media mostly.
