Some good comments on this already. The series of posts at [0] probably has more detail than needed. Some quotes from the summary of part 1.

> Most of the cholesterol we eat is not absorbed and is excreted by our gut...

> ...most of the cholesterol in our body was made by our body.

> The process of regulating cholesterol is very complex and multifaceted with multiple layers of control.

> Eating cholesterol has very little impact on the cholesterol levels in your body.

Tranco[0] was already mentioned by another comment, but I recommend reading their paper[1] to see how these lists are created, and how they can be manipulated (paper covers Alexa, Cisco Umbrella, Majestic Million, and Quantcast).

From the introduction summary: "e.g. only one HTTP request suffices to enter the widely used Alexa top million. We empirically validate that reaching a rank as good as 28 798 is easily achieved."

Interestingly, there is a railroad line that goes north from Vancouver, through Whistler and Pemberton, but takes a different route than Highway 99 to get to Lillooet[1]. The highway (aka The Duffey, as it passes Duffey Lake) gains and then loses something like 1000m of elevation, whereas the railroad line is much flatter and travels along Gates Lake, Anderson Lake, and Seton Lake. There are dirt/gravel roads there too, but I'm not sure if they are used in the winter.

The railroad route is not used much these days, partly because of all the trains that fell into the lake due to how windy (edit: that's windy as in lots of turns, not windy as in lots of air blowing over it) the track is (e.g. [2]).
