+1. I saw the 2025 suffix and fact that it was on the original domain and hoped they released a v2 to carry us through the world of Platform Engineering, Observability 2.0, Kubernetes vs Serverless, etc.

Yeah even the shorter lengths (thicker) are way more complacent than I expected.

I’m slowly replacing every cable in the house and cars. I’m up to 7 and counting.

You’re thinking of TB4 which only requires 40Gbps.

TrueSpec cables that advertise 40Gbps work fine as TB4 cables.

TB5 is 80Gbps so TrueSpec isn’t capable.

How is the performance of their newer APs?

That was always what was holding me back from switching off a 2.5GbE / WiFi 7 UniFi stack.

So you mean, Macs and macOS?

All modern devices are appliances, not computers.

They perform the specific functions that they were programmed to perform, and do not allow arbitrary execution of calculations on the underlying hardware.

Many people, mostly folks who adopt the Apple ecosystem, see this as a positive thing that allows them to delegate undifferentiated decisions on security and ways of working to the vendor.

I am one of those people and hope that Android remains open so that people don't expect Apple open up their hardware, which will result in fragmentation.

Because they value secure devices. Apple don’t backport _all_ security patches.

FWIW I am Australian and we have a similar adoption rate of cashless payments.

If a merchant tries to promote cash options I immediately think they’re doing it for tax evasion reasons - not because of the touted reason that “card payments cost more to process” (they don’t once you factor in the cost of handling cash).

Yeah part of the reason why APNIC granted Cloudflare access to those very lucrative IPs is to observe the misconfiguration volume.

The theory is CF had the capacity to soak up the junk traffic without negatively impacting their network.

You’d be better off comparing it to Quad9 based on performance, privacy claims, and response accuracy.

If you commit the .devcontainer.json and associated files your whole team gets a consistent, local-feeling, environment for free.

Containerisation solved the "Works on my machine" gap between local and prod. This is just solving for the same gap between Dev 1 and Dev 2.

Being banned from Cloudflare would break my personal email (they’re the registrar) and portfolio site.

So, yes.

Maybe it would be different if you were exclusively using it as a tunnel service.
