Weird smear.

There are over 10,000 taxing jurisdictions in the US, so good luck with even trying to figure how many different taxes.

> Tears apart your weak reasoning until only truth remains

I've done that to myself quite some times when writing a very detailed report on an issue. Back in the day of stackoverflow (godbless and godspeed, glad Joel made it out and sorry for the investors) you had to be detailed to maximize on your initial viewers.

I think the idea is the same with the rubber duck debugging method although I've never tried it myself.

In a small defence to webview/tauri, it's pretty smooth and fast, and multi platform free of charge. I'd have done this in Tauri too, but that's just my voice. But I otherwise totally agree with you.

Wow, this is brilliant, thanks for sharing it! I've had pretty much this app way down on my TODO list for the last 20 years. I was planning a Linux and violin support too.

One of my methods for my pet projects is just to wait for someone else to do it, worked this time :)

I might chuck this into Claude when I have tokens to spare and see how it'll do with my feature request. Are there any specific apple silicone limitations you can remember? I'll send you a PR if you're interested?

I've recently asked claude to be concise in writing documents. It's brilliant for me. You get things like:

  <cmd> force-off # pull the plug
No faffing around.

When people know and don't do anything, it's not "monitoring failure". Would willful negligence be more correct?

Not really. If you read between the lines you see there's a story she's avoiding.

> It is not true that some independent AI agent went in and deleted the material

Notice the wording. It's a half-truth response. She's probably correct, but the accusation wasn't that a "some independent AI agent went in and deleted the material". Just a AI deleted the material.

Then backup failed as the reason. That's not THE reason. You don't need backups unless you lose your data. How did the data get lost?

Personally I wouldn't store this info as refs in git.

But If i had to, I'd store them under subdirectories, try "git checkout -b "host/person/version/diet/cookies/bug-fix-for-joe".

It gets created as directory structure under .git/refs.

Oh how I'd wanted to have this when I was a kid learning an instrument. I had all these questions but no one had a answer for me. Music teachers were like "because it's the 3rd, or because it's the 5th". If I could go back in time I'd show them this. THIS! SEE IT! THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW!

GTA didn't exist back then, so I had to learn them from the lore.

And shortly afterwards, in addition to all the different physics-in-action experience, I learned about how car insurance excess works.

Of course, I was just saying "by default". You should be able to allow any access as you want, give it your old socks or granny. Just not by default.

Related: could we please stop, by default, allowing software to:

  a) access all your files, and
  b) roam the internet at will.
That was somewhat OK in the 80s, but it hasn't been since.
