I think the original meaning of hi-quired was hijacked-acquired, in the sense that the company was acquihired, all the critical talent transitioned to a more important G project and that's it.

What about automotive? I suspect automotive firmwares to be more protected already, but where do I start with playing with the infotainment systems?

Guess this is how capitalism works? The bestest example we might get from the original inventors so to say.

That's the question - how the companies get and stay that big if they don't care?

Google ads span much more farther than in search - it's all over internet, on all websites, mobile etc.

I had some kind of a career crisis last summer, I just couldn't do anything at all for days, and felt very bad about it, since I have always liked my web-development work, tech, and computers in general.

It took me quite an effort (money, time, psychotherapists) to understand that I am not my job, and more importantly other people being not very happy with what I do is not a reason for me to feel bad about myself. It was very easy for me to start scolding myself after getting not-so-positive or not getting the feedback I expected at work.

Anyway, I think it's a process - my attitude towards my work is never final, I used to think that vespene gas here will get depleted over time, but it's probably not how it works. Some day it's worse, some day it's much better.

Good luck!

My grandpa worked like this on a naval propulsion factory :) They had quite a long development lifecycle - decades for every new engine from inception to series production.

Sorry, I could not go farther in the video after watching the narrator trying to accurately click on all those inputs, dropdowns etc. simultaneously saying "writing this in code would be annoying".

In my opinion using mouse pointer to click things on screen is annoying when it comes to programming.
