That this link is actually all AI but nobody noticed.

Journalism is almost dead. And if where it’s not it’s more of a summary of what happened rather than deep investigations. But only a small percentage of the population care about deep investigations anyway.

Nobody is talking about how they seem to be written the same way?? They even use the same phrase: "I was chocked and embarrassed" on many of them.

What are we reading here? It looks like AI generated.

HN is going to be a weird place to be between people loving AI and the loss of loving tech. I don’t remember last time I watched a good tech dev video. At least the video game industry is a little bit shielded from this but soon it will be the same when we see the speed AI is advancing.

No more joy crafting things as a dev…!

I don’t get your comment for WeWork. Is the current estate industry any better with how dry their industry is? Compared to a company caring enough to do research of this type? Tell me a single real estate giant that has even just 5 guys working in R&D of this type and not money related projects…

We can’t blame them when they are looking to squeeze more profits and at the same time blame the ones who try to do things different.

Well if possible you want an AI that understand the spirit of what you are asking for and will add all the missing stuff, instead of an AI that just want to hack its way to the result. Kinda what Fable brought to the table. For instance as a simple example I ask it to change the text that shows the email of the user by his name and Fable did all the code in case there is the family name missing etc. That this last part you want an AI to do. Helping you to build the system with you and not gaming what you ask for for reward.

Why limit? This is a news website where users judge if something is newsworthy by upvoting it. If the community decides it’s newsworthy it’s newsworthy. Maybe not for you but at least enough people to make it visible in front page. Unless you have strong arguments, like topics creating death threats or people doxing, there is no reason whatsoever to censure any news because you personally doesn’t care or don’t like it and prevent others from accessing it.

“ No other human activity poses this level of danger.” Yet. But it may be and very soon.

It would have been funny a year ago but now I have no issues of that sort or even for more complex tasks

People really believe in this AGI marketing?

No rule makers. Players are not the one making the rules of a game. They just play it.

It’s not the players we should hate but the ones who make the rules of the game. Specifically not the ones who make the rules for the greater good but for themselves.

I would too and I have declined jobs everywhere they used their tech and it was not because they had to. And even then, unless it’s like Google and such I am very reluctant.

No thanks!
