I like the spirit of this approach; make them suffer! But I'm surprised the bots wouldn't have reasonable timeouts to counteract. How long do they typically wait on these requests?

EDIT: sorry, that was a dumb question before reading your post. You actually learn the timeout they tolerate. Nice!

13 to 17 pro is a huge leap in performance, battery life, and camera features.

Me too. And it does it so often, that I've added a stop hook that detects "honest*" in its response and forces it to regenerate without the banned word.

I see what you did there. Bravo.

I find it interesting how people justify (or not) whether to eat another animal.

"At the End of the World" disambiguates it pretty well, I think.

I’ve found its response verbosity to be mentally draining. It disregards claude.md instructions to keep responses short. Eventually, I added a stop hook that blocks it if it exceeds 150 words. It’s then forced to redo its output to comply, and it’s like night and day. I’ve also added stop hooks for words in its output that frustrate me, like “honest” or “honestly”.

The excessive comments in the code it writes are absurd. Completely ignores instructions not to write comments, even after pointing them out repeatedly in a session. I need to figure out how to add a stop hook for that too.

I feel the same way. It was fun at first but has gotten tiresome. Does anyone actually use these models to generate SVGs?

I'm getting 15000ms timeouts and OAuth 500 errors during /login too. This was happening yesterday around this time too. The desktop app seems to be unaffected (at least it's not making me log in).
