That's not the source; that's an exercise for the reader.

Not if you need your html to adapt to the shape of a 3d object drawn in the canvas.

What you described is the CSS painting api (part of CSS Houdini)

> without really knowing what you’re doing

Really knowing what you're doing is the implicit part of the right-hand side of the bell-curve meme :-)

What kind of non-abandonment would you want for a quake port?

I wonder when the author will be switching from his Mac.

If the argument, which seems to be "code is cheap; let's write implementations for multiple platforms", remains true, what do you think will continue turning the wheel?

Signal requires a mobile phone for an account; so it's not entirely web-friendly. Plus, can you read what's posted to signal without an account?

Well, DHH managed to attract Dell, which are kinda sorta promising through a single representative that their new XPS laptops are fully tested with Omarchy:

So that's encouraging. But still, I don't see any acknowledgement on the Dell site (apart from a single blog post) about their stance on supporting and testing linux on their laptops.

> given that developers are the one group of people today that don't generally have a problem running Linux on the desktop.

I am a developer; and I do have a problem: I don't have a choice of good laptops that are guaranteed to work with linux, and preferably come with linux preinstalled. I can go buy a macbook, or a windows laptop; but I can't walk into a store and buy a linux laptop.

I hate it when a comment tells me to see JIRA-1234. What if in a year's time we stop using Jira?

All that time spent programming those visuals. Which, I think, ironically, have made the article harder to read, not easier.

Do your sass customers know what javascript is or how it's different from java? Does this mean developers shouldn't care either?

> it's that small businesses cannot buy phones, install a patched version of Android without a restriction

Pardon my ignorance; but why would Android need to be patched? Is it because it wouldn't run on the phone hardware otherwise?
