For me, the biggest benefits of tailwind vs other options is

a) it helps you codify your design system in utility classes. It makes it easier to keeps things consistent.

b) LLMs understand it better than plain css or other css-in-js systems where you're constantly wrestling control back. I mean, you still wrestle, but less.

Were I work I have to deal with an 8-years old codebase and we've switch several times from plain css, css modules, styled components, radix and now tailwind. I would be mad if I still had to write all those classes manually, but it's not the case anymore thank God.

Adding keyboard support gets very annoying after a while. I recently posted a new version a package I made that makes it really simple to add keyboard shortcuts to javascript apps: keyboardist.io

I am sorry, I am probably just very dumb, but this sounds extremely wasteful. If this is a reflection of how software was made before AI I wonder how anything was ever made.

Amigo! If you're not a professional video editor but you have to, occasionally, make long videos shorter or just remove awkward silences, etc., the cut page is a godsend. You grab the knife tool, bim, bam, boom, you're done.

This is such a sloppy face verification system.

One of the first thing I did with Claude Code was to tell it to never credit itself in commits. Same with other AI coding tools.

> what makes this different from the native html video element?

You don't realize how blessed you are to not know the answer to that question and to never ever have to say "Screw it, I'll just use video.js".

> I group European & American food into their respective groups as well.

If by "American" you mean "Unitedstatesian" then I agree. But Latinamerican food is worlds apart from what the US and Canada eat.

Résumé/CV:https://www.linkedin.com/in/soska

Email:arm.sosa [at] gmail

I'm not looking for a job, but I can do consulting. I have 20+ years of experience in web development, specially front-end. I've been coding React apps almost exclusively since 2014. I've been doing remote my whole engineering career so I'm one of the most reliable remote programmers you'll be able to find.

I've been looking for something like this to coordinate volunteers. Per seat pricing makes it impossible for us to use any existing tool, so we stick to WhatsApp which is productivity hell.

Well, there's one more hard requirement. We need the tool to work in Spanish. It's unbelievable how many apps refuse to localize their app, taking into account how easy it is too keep a good localized app in many languages. You're early stage, so this would be a good time adding i18n, l10n. If you want help dealing with that, I can help.
