I wonder if there's anything better than some good old fashioned war and murder to bring humans together to solve hard problems in a coordinated fashion, the Manhattan project springs to mind. Maybe military AI will be the next Manhattan project.

The amount of responsibility laundering that's happening is staggering. Is it the fault of the doctors for prescribing strong painkillers or the responsibility of lobbyists for keeping the status quo as it is. Or is it the responsibility of patients to not seek strong opiates for the smallest aches? On whom falls the blame for this?

Why would they keep it secret? To stop others from gaming the system or because the system can't be gamed since its biased from the start?

Assuming he could speed read math, was a genius because he could speed read math or could he speed read math because he was a genius

Trying to speed read mathematics at least seems like a pretty bad idea. Maybe it works better for shallow self help books?

I do not mind your opinion or way of life, but if I consider other things to be relevant, why can't I use my time to improve in them? Just as you do with the things you consider relevant? As long as the activity doesn't infringe on anyone's liberty why should you be branded as defective for engaging in it? Besides, it is hard to pinpoint what a better future state means. Doesn't it mostly depend on what you consider important to improve?

So in your opinion all efforts that result in the optimization or improvement of something decided as relevant by yourself are worthwhile?

Is obsessing over things related to real life like social ties, money, career, or anything else that will surely pass after you die a disorder? If it isn't then why not?

I wonder if the reason for this is mainly due to how much leeway you have as long as you use your technology for the benefit of the ruling party. Isn't it much easier to work on things like harvesting personal information if you don't have GDPR breathing down your neck? Hell the government might even help your tech startup with basically unlimited cash as long as you help them with your tech.

What conclusions can be drawn from this? If any?

I wonder how will these new green energy sources affect the petrodollar once electric means of transportation start becoming commonplace. Will it have a big impact?

I wonder how much the "recharge while alone" feeling is due to the fact that introverts feel a need to put a front and think their every move during social situations thus making the situations unfulfilling and tiring while also making them very difficult to navigate. I find that using logic and conscious thought instead of instinct for things like social situations makes you react much more slowly to the flow these situations usually have while also making you less spontaneous and making the socializing tiresome. Maybe because we evolved to be sociable before we evolved conscious thinking and thus we have fine honed instincts that shouldnt be overidden by thinking for these things? Who knows.
