I don’t think there is a “central MacOS design philosophy,” at least not anymore.

Again, more evidence that you have thin skin, and that you’re a racist if you are aware of the beliefs we’re discussing here and truly think those beliefs are “fine and valid.” I support everyone’s right to state what they believe, but intolerant beliefs aren’t worthy of respect or good-faith debate.

If one can’t handle the disrespect that comes from being a racist, perhaps publicly proclaiming those beliefs online isn’t the best approach.

And shame on you for defending him.

“Slimy shots” as in simply stating DHH’s self-proclaimed beliefs in plain language? Sounds like you’re easily offended.

The article is very clear and offers links that outline what the author’s issues are with DHH.

I would take Ruby over Python any day of the week and I find Ruby very flexible and elegant. It’s all personal preference.

> In a contemporary interview with Marques Brownlee, Musk said they didn’t currently have the technology and the specs were an extrapolation for what they expected to be available on release.

That’s even worse then, because it was supposed to be released by 2020. Here we are in 2026 and I still don’t think it’s possible to cram 200kwh into a sports car. I take this as an admission straight from the horse’s mouth that either: 1) they were lying and had no intention of shipping the car as specified when it was announced, or 2) they’re completely inept at making predictions about the trajectory of technology core to their products. Both are extremely bad.

This is a completely different car than the one that was announced in 2017. So they cancelled it, and replaced it with a new one, which is likely never going to ship and will serve as a way to prop up whatever merger scam the CEO has cooking in his drug-impaired brain.

> if Tesla ends up selling a clean-sheet sports car called something else by 2036, would that still count? Or are we talking about this specific model with these specs?

Yes, and note that this has already happened: the original Roadster v2 from 2017 never shipped and was replaced with this one.

The original 2nd-gen Roadster reveal claimed a 200kwh battery pack and 600+ miles of range. There were analysts arguing at the time that the state of the art in battery tech could not possibly allow for that much capacity in that size car. This smacks of the same BS that happened with the Cybertruck — the originally announced range/pricing was far, far better than what actually shipped.

There should be legal investigations into this practice, because it’s extremely deceptive.

This is a completely different car from the one that was announced a decade ago and never shipped. And they spent all that time showing off the fact that it can act like a stunt car if you buy the non-street-legal, available-by-invite-only version.

Tesla is an unserious car company, led (for some reason) by a person who supports 1) the destruction of incentives to buy EVs, and 2) the destruction of the climate more generally. I hope the people putting money down on this farce lose it all.

Me: “your comment was extremely weird”

You: repeats the same comment

I hope you get some sleep, or mental health support, or whatever else you might need.

Oh the irony.

Evidently you do. I said goodbye, fascist scum.

Perhaps the person you’re replying to was simply trying to stoop to your level, since you made the extremely weird “spreads his DNA everywhere” comment first. Perhaps this was, to borrow your misused phrase from elsewhere in this thread, the intellectually appropriate response.

Bye, fascist.
