Been doing this for years as well, "in software" being a custom layout in xkb in my case. Though for me the concern was limited to making it easy and quick to type []{}|<>. The only downside I've ran into more frequently than you would expect is that I feel more than a little lost without the xkb config.
Still suffer from RSI but I have to assume that it would be a lot worse with the Swedish/Finnish layout I'd be using otherwise. The placement of AltGr practically ensures that typing say [ is torturous, and RSI etc. aside, for sure this has to have had at least some sort of economical impact over the years across Europe.
Why the love affair with forcing absolutely everything into strict temporal constraints? Is there a single view in Immich that isn't peppered with date headings?
And I genuinely do not understand what the sharing feature is even for. What are you sharing? It can't be albums because an album would be a series of photos you yourself arranged, independent of when the photos were taken, and this seems a completely foreign concept in Immich land.
Not sure what the "financial queries" here amounted to but I find it hard to believe LLMs will ever be to finance what they are to programming. Past a point, information related to the former is gatekeeped behind private institutions with special government granted privileges, while information related to the latter is freely available and open to anyone.
Personally, I see Dario as a semi crook asshat with very little credibility on any of this. I'd rather we just let it rip and see what happens than have these people be the ones steering any potential laws and regulations.
> That said, if slowing this down were possible, I think it would have happened by now. [...] The fundamental problem is simpler: no one will slow down because no one trusts anyone else to slow down.
Frontier labs would heed laws with real teeth, it doesn't matter who they do or don't trust. I would imagine the trust issue definitely coming into play between nations though since you can't exactly spot a training run via a satellite.
More importantly though, that you would get any sensible legislation on this in the current political environment is as laughable as the idea of solving this with a pinky promise between the frontier labs and some third party evaluators.
The latest one I can recall is the canvas losing focus when you click anywhere outside it. So, to continue working after you interact with the layers panel e.g., you'll need to go through the extra step of reactivating the canvas.
It's assuming there will be UBI schemes and benevolent billionaires. It's not bleak, it's fantastical.
