I think that the crowd on HN tend to enjoy learning, and thus wouldn’t find it pointless to read.

I wonder how it compares to electric car usage, or street lights in the USA.

How much value are the Voyager's providing us at the moment, in terms of scientific data?

As a man who lived outside western society for many years, I often received comments about my looks and mannerisms.

Did I cry like a baby, no. I made jokes about their looks and mannerisms. It's called banter.

There is a line that should not be crossed, but someone making one off comments on the out of the ordinary shouldn't be classed as harassment.

I'm not American and not taking sides.

Have you listened to the latest the latest Joe Rogan episode with Musk. The Harris camp seems to be guilty of many of the things they accused Trump of.

Echo chambers happen on both sides and are a real issue.

I think this is a good point to consider.

Let's imagine an inexperienced developer comes across a problem in an open source library, that has an existing issue raised in GitHub.

Are tools like Copilot and ChatGPT good enough to walk them through setting up the dev environment, fixing code and testing the fix. Maybe, but not without many prompts from the dev.

But how is that different from someone StackOverflowing their way through the problem.

It seems that not advertising your wealth is good financial literacy.

Similar to not having valuables on show in a parked car.

Why would your whole product need to be AGPL just because the database is ?

It's like saying that Oracle owns my product because I use MySQL.

I can't remember seeing Qualcomm CPU's before. The name makes me think of WiFi cards.

With Intel stock taking a dive recently, I can't help but feel that the processor landscape is changing.
