Bonkheads was released 10 years after Super Mario Bros 3.

It is almost an exact copy of the Mario battle game, Im surprised Nintendo didnt nuke it.

Interesting you bring up Roku as a main comparison, as only the Roku Ultra device has AV1 support and that is via DASH only:

https://developer.roku.com/dev/docs/media

So if you are saying Roku has 43% of the market, I would consider that as support for my point that AV1 is not that widely supported.

Mainstream? The most popular hardware streaming device (Nvidia shield) does not even support it, so I wouldnt call it mainstream.

Scrolling is a great reason for touchscreens on laptop, you can just swipe and down on your screen which is much more natural than two finger gesturing or grabbing a scrollbar.

My boss wont have a non touchscreen laptop purely for ease of scrolling up and down reports and around spreadsheets

No, pulling up a bug from 18 years ago to argue against the fact that linux is secure is nonsense.

Why do people still think of Apple as a leader in security? This kind of thing happens all the time with them these days.

No, you have a pretty easy way of intercepting someones git credentials and repo access. Arguably more dangerous than a gmail inbox.

If you see a developer using git on a Mac laptop in a coffeeshop, you can intercept that and gain their repo and probably password hashes pretty easily.

Why arent they just pushing this patch out on their security update channel?
