Just as an fyi, there are countries where companies like lionsbridge are not even allowed to exist. e.g. France.

I adhere to a eat nothing diet. Then after I have starved, I am awakened and I gouge myself to death. The cycle then restarts. The powers that be make sure I don't die cause who's gonna do a quickening on the highlander if I do ?

> The limitations are mainly around nested arrays of tables. As has been mentioned here already, the [[array-of-tables]] syntax that currently allows this can be super confusing, and is definitely the worst part of TOML right now.

Good to know this is recognized. Looking forward to a better syntax to an indeed difficult problem

> I found the double square bracket syntax useful and understandable

Really? I had kind of the inverse reaction to it. Indeed useful, but definitely not understandable

It's not the same. Been at your place, it's just funny (and illustrating) at 32. I guess you will see for yourself ?

For me it was the acceptance that death is closer than I would like to think (i.e. It can happen easily and quickly without any kind of accident and the chances of it happening before I live as much as I've already lived are pretty high) that kicked in, not the realization it's inevitable.

Not even there yet (the 40 years old limit), but close enough to agree with most points in the article. The one interesting change is that you lose "meaning" now (described as milestones in the article), which is... weird. I'm still unsure how to cope. Creating "meaning" for others (either your kids/relatives or just complete strangers) seems to be a valid way forward, but I am contemplating with the idea you don't really need "meaning" in life. Just living it might be enough. Not sure though.

I can't wait for this to be a huge bloated system that nobody comprehends in its entirety. Oh, wait

Just wait... It will turn sour as all other infatuations. Or maybe it will crystallize into actual love. Who knows?

I give all these fb junkies (yes that's what they are, they just don't know it, just like smokers used to) about 5 days. Then the withdrawal symptoms will kick in and they 'll give in. Facebook knows what it is doing.

I just recently started using slack and that's because a) of the irc gateway, b) people expressed interest in me connecting to a few "rooms" (I don't even know the slack terminology for room). Yes it's always peer pressure from the ones that know "better". It's sad that I 'll have to disconnect from those rooms and it's even sadder that I did not stand my ground but rather gave in and connected to slack. At least I 'll have the consolation I was right I the first place. Bye slack. You will NOT be sorely missed.

I sincerely don't think diversity programs amount to that. And if you know any that do, call them out because they are not diversity programs, they are "discrimination" programs in essence.

As a side note, I think you expect too much from talent in this specific case. There have been more than one companies that have hired excellent talent only to succumb to the market forces.
