That's disgusting.

I wonder how soon someone will leave a comment here saying something like, “Aaactually, this isn’t censorship.”

Thank you.

The Hacker News community didn’t see any problem at all in 2022 when NameCheap massively revoked the registrations of everyone with Russian passports. Everyone fervently supported this initiative, I remember it clearly. But for some reason, when NameCheap started revoking their own registrations (take this post as an example), they’re unhappy. What a paradox. Who could have imagined that NameCheap could do that to the people who did not deserve it!

Don't you say. You don't even know what was that horrible treatment exactly - didn't even ask, why would you, right? - but you've promptly explained to the guy that it was his fucking fault - he's from the sanctioned country after all, he should know his place and be quiet. You guys are just adorable, aren't you?

There’s always someone willing to explain how sanctions work to those who are subject to them. Thank you for your work, sir. What would we do without you.

Sad. I actually have a storage box from Hetzner, let me open a test ticket to see how fast they react.

Have you ever contacted their support? I'm thinking about switching to Hetzner.

And why exactly is that the case? Why should I prioritize morality and empathy over my own well-being?

And that changes things how exactly? The problem is that American companies have been stealing our data for decades, not their ties to the government.

Such is the reality as we perceive it through our senses. Everyone has to put up with certain corrupt practices in order to preserve their sanity and resources, such as time and money.

Can I run HomeAssistant in Kiosk mode on this thing? The only use case I can think of.
