Chief Chicken Tender at www.Coop.Farm - We're building chicken coops for any backyard with cams that do a bunch of AI for predator detection, alerts, egg monitoring, remote health monitoring, etc! It's a super super fun company to build.

Formerly ran iCracked (w12) which was a nationwide smartphone repair, insurance, and trade-in company. Grew it to about 5k people and people and we sold it to Allstate in 2019 and had a blast building it.

Coop (https://smart.coop.farm)| 2nd Founding Engineer | iOS Heavy Engineer | Hybrid onsite | Austin, TX | Full-time, Part-time

My name is AJ Forsythe and I'm the Founder / Chief Chicken Tender at Coop! We're an Austin TX based company on a mission to build the world’s largest decentralized food production network, starting with AI powered chicken Coops. We’ve been in the market for about 18 months and our customers are in 48 states and will generate about >10M eggs this year. It's insanely fun to work on and we have a shot at building a huge business in the connected urban farming space. If you’re big into computer vision, consumer products that are fun, and an awesome team we would love to chat. The Coop has an automatic door + cameras doing computer vision work (predator detection, egg alerts, remote health monitoring, etc). It's a super exciting time and are seeing directional product market fit which I'm thrilled about. Seriously go check out our website, it's a super fun + amazing product.

We’re a tight-knit team of 5 people with 15+ years of experience working together. We’ve been through YC, started and scaled multinational million-dollar businesses together, taking them from idea to acquisition by a Fortune 50 company. We’re gritty and passionate without taking ourselves too seriously - and we’re here to build something really exciting that helps people reconnect with their food and the planet. We're VC backed (call it $5M) by some of the world's best investors but we are a scrappy small team that moves fast. We have an absolutely fantastic CTO Ryan that I'm looking for his / our right hand person to work alongside with. I think the term full stack is overused but that's closest to what we're looking for. Also this really isn’t a traditional Eng role, I look at it as we’re a small growing team and you would be one of us working on a ton a cool projects on day 1. Also, we LOVE working with founders so if you've started a company before that's epic.

Oh also, I have a fun project where I want to make a water gun turret that uses our cameras to detect predators and allows you to aim and blast them. If you're into hacking robotics and gimbals etc, please reach out.

You can also reach out to me directly at: aj[at]coop.farm - Just email me your LinkedIn / GitHub / portfolio + why you think you'll be an awesome fit and I'll respond. Please don’t use GPT too much. This is my 3rd company (2 have exited) and I want to build the super solid core team and you might be the perfect fit for us and vice versa. Bwok Bwok! AJ

I have the Samsung Frame TV (great TV btw) and decided I didn't want to pay the $5 / month to have curated art in the room and when Superman the movie came out a few months ago it was only displaying Superman comics on the screen. Was super annoying bc was subtle but not subtle enough. I uploaded family pics instead so I don't have that anymore but it was still pretty annoying. I have samsung washers / dryers / dishwasher etc all connected to the internet and I love the notifications when a load is done but I don't know how useful the data is... I assume data brokers are like, "Oh Aj uses his washing machine 7 times a month let's hit him with Tide ads", but I assume everyone uses the machine that much. I'm fine having my machines tell Samsung use bc it's normal usage (i think?)

I have a 2020 model X as well and I love it. I have no plans on upgrading which oddly is because it doesn't have the interior review mirror cam for FSD to yell at me for silly things like looking at a passenger to talk while on FSD and it still drives like it did on day 1 (60k miles ago, have only done tires and minor warranty calls). Honestly a fantastic car and now that it's paid off I'm like yep I'll keep this for years more. Keep the car it's great!

Actually to edit this comment - the main (only?) reason I bought the car is because if I'm in an accident I want to try to be in safest car possible and if my sig other is driving I want them to be in the safest car I can find. I thought that paying a premium at release in model X 2020 was well worth the premium if people I love are in it.

When I see gaps on resumes I don't mind it at all - I personally have always wanted want 6-12 months off to go work on side projects. If you need an excuse I would just say you're consulting friends companies and / or working on side projects you're passionate about. I don't think it's a big deal at all, if anything shows you're exploring things and figuring out what you find interesting.

A deep computer vision powered backyard predator detection turret that would auto target deer in the garden, raccoons by the chicken coop, etc and spray them with water (think super soaker). Would have auto mode or be able to move and target it with your app for fun.
