It's a horribly inaccurate show too

Yes, I expect this to be a problem in 250 years.

We likely have more than 100 years to adjust.

No, and I'm not sure why you're purposefully being obtuse.

To be clear, they're baiting because their reply starts with "oh yeah?" which is a clear indication they are not truly willing to hear a different argument.

Baiting them into a bad faith discussion

Feels like you're trying to bait them instead of engaging in good faith.

It was more like Obama was so cool and had so much panache he won despite having an extremely incompetent team...and then both he and his team believed he won because of them and proceeded to self-sabotage the DNC from within.

To be clear, I'm not excusing him. I think he was very cool indeed but ultimately a weak president that lacked in leadership before and after his term

My wife made me essentially give away my budget-friendly gaming PC and get an iMac when she moved in with me after grad school.

people say taste is the differentiator but I hate that because taste is personal, whereas culture is communal

taste without curation for the community, with an eye to what is culturally edifying, is just consumerism

Exactly! It's a common expression to shoo someone off.

Literally it translates to "Don't put yourself" where "put" is the closest I can think of to the verb "meter", which is sort of what you do when you insert something haphazardly instead of carefully.

Truly literally the words are "No + self + put" and the conjugation of "meter" into "meta" makes it clear the subject is "you"

The next step is demanding anyone who wishes to release a Certified Safe AI™ model to prove they can insure the $1B in damages and pass a compliance audit for how they will prevent the LTM death count from reaching 50, effectively making it so that only big labs can serve government and enterprise.

"Furigana, set by the font." is such a bad tagline written by an LLM

The entire discussion about AI taking jobs is by definition about the future. Nobody is saying "AI took our jobs" so talking about what it can currently do is nearly irrelevant

Yes, currently means "right now" not "for the foreseeable future".
