Leave for the US now if you can, while TN still exists.

Canada at least used to be cleaner and safer and only slightly poorer than the US but since 2019 the divergence has been incredible and now I regret not leaving sooner.

Anyone even slightly above average in intelligence or work ethic will do better in the US, don't let online leftist echo chambers convince you otherwise!

Elon and Bezos aren't extracting anything from me.

The investments of the rich (at least in America) translate directly into employment and innovation.

Vancouver is SF-level drug disorder paired with Detroit salaries, in no way is it more "livable" than a nice US suburb.

I just bought an Xbox Series X and logged in via QR code and Xbox app on my phone. No need to type into the console.

The percentage of the population that needs to work will continue to go down because of aging and automation although you might not see it as a reduction of hours for a given individual employed person.

Already 38% of Americans aged 16 or older do not work and are not looking for work and yet are not dying from hunger or exposure. This would have seemed like a utopian dream to someone from the 1800s.

If you make $2000 and your rent is $1800 are you food insecure or rent insecure?

This is a miscategorization imo, food is incredibly cheap compared to any American income or welfare program.

Ok but the corporations are ultimately owned by humans who are alive so there is no way around the generational wealth transfer other than destroying wealth.

The US healthcare system is incredible compared to socialized systems if you can afford it. That's at least part of the reason it represents 17% of GDP. The same procedure I needed had a 2 day wait time in the US and a 10 month wait time in Canada.

Depressingly, they bought a house in 1995 before the prices exploded. You need a 94th percentile income in Toronto to barely qualify for the average house.

How so? If you don’t touch the principal you can live off the investment returns forever and so can your descendants.

In Australia? The houses are like 30x-100x more expensive than a battery, how would this be possible?

This is what most airlines and hotels do, the best prices go on google flights and google hotels and the worst prices are in their own apps.

Who do you invoice if, for example, you own a vending machine that sells chips and sodas for cash or contactless? Why couldn’t this be treated the same?

Why would anyone prefer public transit over a self driving comfortable personal car?
