if its 3x the current 200 plan then it's worth it for some of us.

Not sure what it really means but Mark Carney is turning out to be one of the the most consequential prime ministers of Canada.

He has an exceptionally poor hand of cards to play but is maximizing any opportunity. Very creditable leadership - even for those who don't agree with everything he does.

I do think this is a lesson for political parties all over the world. You can be pragmatic.

Sonnet 3.5 and Cursor proving PMF for agentic coding should've at least got a mention...

There is a lot of demand for articles like this. The sort of revenge of the humans.

I do think a small number of people have totally transformed themselves and their business using AI. But that doesn't overlap with the people who are loudest about it on LinkedIn, X, and other channels.

One of my favorite articles. I see people using this as an argument for why LLMs are fundamentally flawed, but that fails to realize that most humans don't get into the details. In fact, many don't have the vocabulary to be in the details.

There is an argument to be made for using humans, but I think we need humans to be more capable, more curious, more adaptive. LLMs are far better than the average human, but they are fundamentally inferior to the motivated human working with an LLM to augment themselves at the frontier.

Will anthropic disintermediate slack at some point?

at the limit it seems inevitable that if their cost to build is low they can build their own slack, github, operating system etc.

Not surprised at this. The questoins for enterprises are + where can you depend on a black box as a service? + what evals and observability do you need to deploy a black box as a service confidently? + what's the ROI (considering a total footprint of people, token spend, infrastructure, service, ops etc.)

The LLM providers will clearly evolve to be more and more opaque as their services get more capable. The frontier models may even be provided as purely internal advisor or async only so they can monitor your CoT and final answers for cyber etc.

Great headline cost reduction, but has anyone here actually used the API in production?

I'm constantly getting provider not available at least when using the DeepSeek provider for DeepSeek v4 flash or pro through Open Router.

It seems like there isn't enough capacity to actually serve production traffic

Same. 3.5 Sonnet seems particularly good at React and Tailwind. I'm moving away from other frameworks and libraries to React and Tailwind because of this.

Thanks for adding the specific case. I think with testing these sort of limited domain applications make sense.

It'll be much harder for more open ended world problems where the physics encountered may be rare enough in the dataset that the simulation breaks unexpectedly. For example a glass smashing into the floor. The model doesn't simulate that causally afaik
