This file is used by a bunch of CLIs. Apple is fundamentally dropping the ball here from a security perspective.

My guess is indie devs would actually mostly be fine with this.

This isn’t really that much of an issue when we have tls tbh.

Like I get why it’s bad, but also homebrew package installation is a more organized version of this.

Hashes are cool but also in a lot of systems you’re trusting the hash to be provided by the same website you don’t trust the binaries from…

Just like how US conquered all of Vietnam and Afghanistan.

US would lose a land war with Iran. They’d lose it spectacularly too.

Main thing is the US is a significantly better deal than Canada is, for an educated Canadian. And migrating to the US as an educated Canadian is very easy.

Honestly if you can’t protest at a public meeting then you dont have free speech.

The fact that someone can actually ask you to leave a public meeting like this implies some sort of weird authority that genuinely should not exist.

TBH modern dictatorships are a lot less obvious in the way you describing.

There are dictatorships, where a very select few people have absolute power, but there’s no visible dictator.

Iran is a country like this. There’s no visible dictator. It’s a game of power between the clergy, the military, and the civil government.
