Not very classy to piggy back off of this post to advertise your own text editor. Just make a new "Show HN" post.

I’m not sure if tiling window managers are a paradigm most people can get behind, but after using hyprland for a year I can’t imagine going back to a floating WM. That’s on top of all the other shortcomings of MacOS and Windows. The only caveat is the configuration part. A Wayland based tiling WM running on Debian that “just works” would go a long way in showing people the light. The decision paralysis of all the options in desktop Linux does not help the cause either.

Common issue with TTS models right now. I use ElevenLabs to dictate articles while I commute and it has a stroke on decimals and symbols.

Of the big companies doing significant work in AI, I'd say Meta is one of the top ones to work at. Even if you're just looking at it from a 'who are the good guys' standpoint.

I switched to Wayland (hyprland) last year and have never regretted it, until I need to load up an Electron app. What a shit framework.

This whole "AI replacing engineers" statement would bear a lot more weight if it came from a company that doesn't have in-house model development teams like Shopify and Meta.

Mike from Vesta (first demo video) claims Devin saved "at least a hundred hours" debugging API integrations. That seems crazy to me - API integrations rarely take that long, and any engineer would spot issues like wrong API keys almost immediately. The tool might be more valuable for non-engineers creating initial drafts, but by the time you've written all the detailed specs for Devin, a mid-level engineer could have made significant progress on the task.
