While I generally like Lua this code just looks .. not so Lua - like, it definitely is Lua, but it could look much better by utilizing language features like "Parenthesis-free calls":

  ui.Button "Button Text" {
    on_click = function()
      print("Hello world")
    end,
    disabled = true
  }
or

  ui.VStack {
    padding = 31, -- Named key => option
    wrap = true,

    ui.Button "..." {}, -- Indexed by number => children
  }
feels more Lua and slightly cleaner imo

I love the offer which is running on the "PlanetScale Metal".

They claim to provide unlimited IOPS (I/O operations Per Second).

I would like to get some of these drives myself. Sounds like a technical miracle.

On the other hand claiming such miracles makes me wonder which other aspects in this are are actually a working miracle or rather a mythos/false marketing claim.

I think this one particularly interesting and it really explains to me how a caring and passionate person would do such a move.

> After COVID and with the rise of AI, the internet we once loved is gone, and with it my passion.

And I really have to say that it's very relatable.

The USB/Thunderbolt one is a nice catch and good to know if you want to move you data to a new PC. Dell XPS (with soldered SSD) to Framework move just took a few minutes by dd'ing through the created network interfaces (it's different from the tbstream). The limiting factor was the Dell's SSD actually.

I wonder where this should fit in? It introduces itself as

> Data with an immutable schema.

But for what? I don't see a fit for APIs here, maybe config but there are already other languages that are perfectly suited for this job.

Also this feels more like some proposal than a serious attempt to build a new format. Java is widely used but I would at least expect such a new format to at least release with Java-/TypeScript, Go and Python libraries (personal perference: Rust too). But just a Java launch is at best a PoC.

It is a shallow trend to ignore or on-purpose worsen mobile experience and force users to mobile apps instead of using the browser version.

Though I'm not sure if this can be applied in this specific case.

If I got this term correctly, these days it would rather be a "Serverless webserver in awk". Also sounds more catchy.

I'd bet it's because your new one uses an MBR partition as your tools show you clearly, that indeed both sticks are 16 GB sticks
