According to `git blame` the oldest surviving code in GNU emacs is:

    lisp/play/studly.el
being unchanged since 1986-09-12.

(It is said the Stallman maybe have kept some of Gosling's older code but I haven't gone back that far.)

Effort (as it's used in the context, how many "thinking" tokens to burn) is still a free variable. It's not always shown to the end user but you can set it independently for any of these models.

After that you just have model "strength" and version number. But of course strength is only comparable at equal version number and the two axes are almost parallel.

Anthropic also does this, perhaps to a lesser extent.

We don't need Dropbox, it's a heap of shit.

With enough marketing you can sell anything. Also a decent way to make a product is to do the hard part for someone else.

I've been training classifiers for ten years, it used to be hard. Now it's hard to do really well but it's trivial to do well enough.

There's a challenge for you right there. Learn to spell or learn to live with mistakes.

You take a class. Do you think coveting is immoral? Retributive justice? Human sacrifice?
