A bit of a loaded question, but how do you feel about xbox f-in up major titles like Halo Infinite and Phil Spencer just saying "yep, we are sorry, that's on me". When a) there doesn't seem to be any change in quality assurance (see Redfall) and b) the devs still take the hit (see 343).

To me it's incomprehensible how they managed to f-up Halo Infinite, then just stand there in silence and then say, yeah we are sorry for not having a lot of interesting titles on Xbox, but here's what's coming next year.

If I were a game dev at Microsoft, I'd be furious!

Do we have any indication that telemetry leads to an actually improvent of the software's overall quality at this point?

It seems to me that even with excessive levels of telemetry, software remains buggy and sluggish most of the time.

I wonder when support for modules lands so we can see that the design doesn't work out and deprecate them.

Sorry if I am too salty here, but really, it's more of a joke at this point, isn't it?

Gnome/GTK accessibility has been deteriorating for years. Unrelated to Wayland.

Hamburger menus that cannot be navigated with Alt+_ shortcuts (and sometimes not even with cursor keys) are the prime example.

While it may not be as convenient, note that you can use plain wireguard with Mullvad.

Windows should just prompt for confirmation if the file differs. A reg key should allow a user to disable the confirmation.

Please! Give me the option to keep the tight spacing and small controls we currently have in VS.

Personally, I really prefer the compactness!

Well, my take is that the language isn't that great, but I really really dislike the ecosystem.

The sheer amount of code you get, even when using seemingly lightweight dependencies is just such a dumpsterfire.

I once ran cloc on a react getting started example. The example, including its dependencies, contained more than 3 times the lines of code than a 3D game engine (targetting PS4/5) + game logic + dependencies for a (non-indie) title I was porting around that time.

What place are you working at where that is considered NSFW?!

Yes, about how to move it to another phone, especially when my current phone just died. Maybe I dropped it and now the display no longer works.
