You're totally right. I think the article is just inherently too reductionist, which is like of a foundation of analysis in general, is to reduce and then reason about some process/object. However, I think a lot of analysis is (for lack of a better term) critically reductionist, and they see that as a virtue of their analysis, they toss out nuance and details in favor of studying the "structure" of some process without considering that particular nuance or detail changes the structures meaning and possibly the structure itself.

Mandated safety features wouldn't increase stock price of any of the auto manufacturers. You might be able to expose yourself to the increase in price if you can isolate the manufacturer(s) of the technology involved itself. You're still highly unlikely to capture any alpha if the various car companies diversify which chips/camera's they are using.

I'm not sure, but I mainly post the links when my network won't let me view it from work. Or when it's paywalled. I believe OP's usually want to support the work they are ostensibly paying to read.

I just want to read interesting things.

Is the _underscores_ around words supposed to signify something? Or am I just using the wrong browser to view HN and it's not rendering or something. Sorry if this is an obtuse question I'm new here.
