I think somehting a lot of the top comments seem to miss is, ok sure there are risks, but the existing system isn't working, so why not? Like the regular politicians (in Serbia and beyond) aren't: immune to politicking, getting too deep into a rathole, spinning in circles with planning and bureaucracy, and especially to corruption etc.

The idea that as students or young people they're uniquely going to fail, WHEN IT WAS ALREADY A FAILED SYSTEM doesn't make sense to me, it seems like just poo-pooing?

I guess, a lot of it seems to just be reactionary thought to any change at all eh?

I'm honestly kinda baffled by the negativity, like almost everybody I let use my mac who doesn't have a mac tries to touch the screen, it's just a UI paradigm people are used to and naturally wanna do, any downsides... will go away over time?

My solution to wanting a better window snapper - really I just wanted Windows style left, center (full) and right docking with specific keyboard shortcut ala windows was just to modify Rectangle to get of most of its feature and changes the shortcuts and behaviour a little.

Isn't the problem with Brave, even after his departure that they keep making suss decisions? Over and over and over? Like they can keep apologising but if they keep making suss anti-privacy decisions, well, they can't really be trusted can they?

What is it with mesh projects and having these super draconian trademark enforcers? Meshtastic is the same. One of the main reasons I got interested in MeshCore was reading the Meshtastic trademark rules and just finding them... really really over the top.

Also, they're ignoring the true cost of unrepairable hardware which is e-waste. Perhaps if they're looking for a lighter hand, they'd suggest that less repairable hardware has to have a tax that pays for its PROPER recycling.

A random arse thought, but I have never seen the phrase batteries-included a week ago, and now I've seen it like half a dozen times. Am I seriously out of date with the lingo of web dev, or did this word suddenly explode in popularity?
