I honestly don't understand his displeasure at the article being posted here. It reeks of elitism to me.

I think Elixir/Phoenix has to be the best stack currently for building applications with real-time features and that's all thanks to BEAM. Perhaps Go is another decent alternative but I definitely prefer BEAM's concurrency model.

Yes Rails is still a very good choice in 2025 and don't listen to anyone telling you it doesn't scale.

I think that's because command line tools are more appealing to technical people. For convenience sake and ease of use, most average computer users will use GUI tools or applications.

I got hired here for my very first job as a software engineer last year and I'm still working at the company. I'm going a year plus now and it's been awesome.

Thanks for the links. So many vital information there especially with regards TTY. I had a bit of an issue with it while working with docker sometime thus year. It will be nice to learn more about it.
