You could use intersection observer to check the position of an element. I can't remember if there was a native way of doing it in CSS (for some reason it's stored in memory that it was recently added to CSS)... The closest is scroll snap.

You could take a look at this course

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxupskillchallenge?utm_medium=an...

It's a beginner course on Linux administration - not networking. It will give you enough knowledge to understand and manage a server. It's free, and starts on the first Monday of each month (you can also do it self paced if you like).

Disclaimer: I have theoretical knowledge, not practical experience.

....And at the same time there isn't enough information to give a "proper" recommendation. i.e., how did you get your past customers? Who is your customer (persona)? Do you have a value proposition?

Since it sounds like you are pressed, ask your current client and your past clients for referrals. Be specific when asking (if he/she knows any friends, family, customers, etc). This will open up their mind to think of many possibilities.

If business is slow, what else can you offer to old customers and new customers?

I'm going to go on a tangent if you don't mind.

I was recently asked how to make an anonymous post to a local news organization where all they wanted to do was hide their IP. I said if their only worry is the news organization then a VPN would be enough... Now that I'm reading your comment I'm having second thoughts whether it was right.

You're thinking of "ahogo". "Ahoyo" doesn't have a meaning but "hoyo" does and it means hole.

Layman here.

This is the first I'm hearing that - it is the first time we detect a planet outside our galaxy. Can someone remind me how it comes to pass that there are people in the scientific community who believe we are the only "intelligent" life form? (I know there are a few theories that explain why there aren't any, whose names escape me at the moment)

It boggles my mind.

I have a spare phone which I would like to flash but I have not been able to find any device specific information on how to do it.

I checked XDA but they don't have any device specific info. Google returns sketchy pages wanting to install software. The phone is not on the list of supported devices on lineage OS website. And I have been unable to find a how-to do it yourself guide.

I followed a guide on how to do it over a decade ago and that is as far as my knowledge goes. I suspect things have changed since???

I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. The device, a blu G5 plus (which when I search on XDA it returns Moto G5 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Edit: Nevermind, I believe I've got it.

Layman with absolutely no understanding about any of this.

I currently live in a country with absolutely no infrastructure to handle this. Our first confirmed case was reported almost three weeks ago. Within a week we ran out of testing kits.

Last night I started researching on the topic to see if there is a formula to calculate the current number of infected people in the country. I don't care about accuracy, it just needs to give an approximate.

The current official figure is less than ten and I feel that by having an estimate (from what I've been able to read, time is a bad indicator, it is what it is) it would help change what I believe to be a false sense of security if one is looking at the official figures.

Is there any such formula or should I use the SIR model? (which currently is a bit over my head)

So it handles firewall rules, disabling root login and all those details?

For someone considering running a (mail) server, what about security? For some reason I have a feeling that guides like "my first 10 minutes on a server" aren't enough. Am I wrong to think so?

It is! Oops... I just became that guy :P

But in my defense, it was a general sentiment and not directed to any - one - individual - or company.

Yes, but when? Stripe has been saying the same thing. They will support more countries, and yet, three years later they have yet to support many countries.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that a country can not be supported magically. What I'm against are these comments that are written with (what I believe to be) the best intentions.

But then it's posted, and the person who read it, years later is left with a bad taste in his/her mouth.
