Realistically, unless you're planning to manufacture a product, just get an S3.

Far more capable, barely and different in cost. Maybe higher power draw. But can run far more things, more capably.

Correct.

It looks quite clear that they have split/subdivided their plot. In Australia this would be called a battle-axe property. The listing talks about "land associated with 123 Street Address".

They are basically selling off the far back garden of the main house. A long thin access road, the pool, the glasshouse/conservatory, the workshop, the tunnels, and the planning permission.

Except agriculture and almost all logistics, rely heavily on imported liquid fuel.

And whilst EV's or Hybrds are about 50% of new vehicles, there are a lot of existing ICE domestic vehicles.

So, yeah, we actually care.

Down to 15 minutes, yes, retailers exist, if you have a smart meter (which are 4G connected for near-real time data back to the grid and retailer).

I am in Sydney, Australia.

It was a nice surprise to see teenagers working in my local brewery this past weekend, collecting glasses, clearing and cleaning tables, etc. They were probably between 13 and 16. Not allowed to serve alcohol until they are 18, and can take on the personal legal responsibilities for Responsible Service of Alcohol.

Most jobs for teenagers here are in fast food service - two of my friends have mid/late teenagers working these jobs. Most jobs in retail, at least near me, seem to be taken by adults.

I was thinking "how much smaller than the cheap 30mm x 25mm boards on AliE can you go?" ... much smaller!

Very nice.

Agreed.

Most people are not self reflective reflective enough to notice. Need to trust the studies.

Far more plausible than the AI ideas.

I find it far more likely these are smart people running without oversight for years pre-COVID, relying on being smart at 2am change windows. Now half or a full std. dev. lower on the IQ scale, hubris means fewer guard rails before change, and far lower ability to recover during change window.

From Meathead's posts, he talks about the smoke only being absorbed in the first part of the cooking.

I had assumed that correlated to the temperature... I would be smoking first, then sous vide if I was going for smoke and internal texture.

But if you're going for a bark/crust, I am not sure sous vide helps, as the moisture coming out of the meat is part of that process.

Oh yeah... he "found it"...

How would a buildings and pest inspection have missed it?

Or, maybe he found it during inspections, knew he would never convince his wife to buy the house on the strength of the train set alone, but did managed to convince on the strength of the house... now he has to sell the lie?

Thank you, this is a very clear explanation for me.

It filled the critical gaps in my intuition that I didn't have the brain cycles to formulate hypotheses against.

It's not succinct. It's repetitive. I was hoping it would give more insights, but instead it repeated the same ideas.

This is one of PG's worse essays.
