SmallJS ( https://small-js.org ) is a file based Smalltalk with full agent support. Here's a vid of Claude converting a Counter app into a Tic-tac-toe game in a single shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_ir6h2MIRg PS The context loading step is not even necessary anymore. The reason why this works so well, is that Claude knows its way around VSCode well. And all SmallJS projects (apps) have full unit tests and GUI tests that run in a couple of seconds. Claude also reads these tests and can make new ones, maintaining coverage. In tradtional live Smalltalks like Pharo, modifying stuff is easy, but running full tests not so much..

It's beyond me why people are still buying smart TVs. I've juist looked on a large EU webshop (bol.com). You can buy a non-smart, full-HD, 40 inch TV for less than $200.

True that, win11debloat is 'mandatory' nowadays. The time that OS makers competed with each other with features users actually wanted is long gone, alas.. This is why Linux is now making more serious momentum. Even a long term 'Microsoftie' like myself is now standing on the brink of making the leap. Just a bit more Steam compatibility first please...

The Mafia may also have shorter horizon: - Fantanyl 'customers' have munch higher risk of sudden-death and then stop being customers. - Fentanyl is a much more debilitating drug than heroin and much cheaper. So Fentanyl customers are less able to gather the money for the next fix, and don't need as much (less revenue).

Buy a failing, over-hyped, collateral-less company with pension money. F-no!

Agreed, that's why I chose to implement a simple ORM for my language's multi-platform database library. It has a mandatory 'id' column, for simple updating and deleting, but table creation and complex queries are done in plain SQL.

I agree, but JS has evolved so far, that when using TypeScript, you can mostly ignore the underlying mismatch.

SmallJS (https://small-js.org) does what you want mostly. In the sense that a standalone desktop app can be made with NW.js.

Indeed, they missed the tiny part of creating the actual memory...

I declare CSS properties in the order they appear on the page (first), for easy updates.

Like the writer I'm also a 'boomer' still keeping connected to an older friend group using Facebook and Instagram. For Facebook, I use the plugin "FB Purity" to filter out the generated cr*p posts and force chronological order. It's shocking too see how few posts are left, by agressive algorithm filtering and FB then deciding that "You're all caught up", refusing to show more posts. So my FB time is about 20 seconds every day...
