That's what I'm struggling with right now - trying to make sure all the business rules are well documented and accessible in the code so that the LLM won't just go along with whatever the next dev asks, introducing regressions. So often a "bug" is just a misunderstanding of a deliberate decision on a minute details.

> It is given sets of paramaters/data and infers a response based on it's acceptable confidence level. The bottleneck for this is compute power and model/prompt/rails/integrations.

Does the output of the model have insight into those details? Just because our brains function based upon electrical potential doesn't mean we have innate insight into it.

Can you? I assume you mean spinning platter, but even then.

I think it'll also expose how much of that lag time was important to getting everyone's ducks in a row. It's never just add a button, it's also updating the document service and the downstream systems to all accept that new button's input. There's a blast radius and it takes a while for the shockwave to cross to every team that needs to know about it.

On the bright side, we're going to find out if extremely high pressure explosions can put out lithium ion battery fires. I vote no, but it'll likely remove any nearby debris/combustible material/organic matter/pink mist out of the combustion area.

The next little while is going to be very revealing for leadership around how little of the time involved in getting a solution to production is the coding. I think there's a lot of bosses who have this vision of features entering prod the same day they are first imagined, but that just isn't going to happen.

And it's sure going to increase the blast radius when these get into a collision. Even if you can't fire the thrusters, that pressurized tank can't be safe.

Yeah, as a Canadian I was willing to accept that 2016 was some sort of screw-up, but 2024 really sealed the deal. It told me that many Americans desired the constant chaos and classless antagonism.

> after doubling profits

They don't care about pushing SOME people to piracy as long as line goes up.
