A beta price of $50 or full price of $100 is really a steal. If you do ANY sort of video production work, this is an amazing tool. The more casual of a green screen person you are, the more impressive this is.

This is like Magnet Mask for Final Cut, but probably better. I haven't compared/contrasted the two yet, but I have faith that Corridor has knocked this one out of the park from the demos I have seen.

(Yes, you can download it for free. You're paying for the pre-packaged convenience. I 100% paid them to support the work they are doing).

Guys, after this week, can we make sure to have more details in the title? Like "Look! Cool new OpenSSL features" so we're not PTSD'ing our way into release notes expecting it to say something about patching critical CVEs?

I agree, that's a great use for AI.

As for the timing... If you BOUGHT the product before October 13th and simply didn't activate an account yet - then it might still be worthy of a complaint. I'm not saying they are actively false advertising, I haven't checked every one of their store fronts after all. But it is a valid path for someone who did get swindled.

#1 - If you bought the product with Apple Health sync in mind and it doesn't do that for free, file a complaint with your OAG. It's false advertising.

#2 - If you have the apps today, you should warn other users with a review (which may or may not be 1 star).

#3 - If you haven't reviewed the product on Amazon, you should warn other users with a review (which may or may not be 1 star).

Passkeys are FINE. The implementations suck.

The entire thing where some websites let you set them up, some force them on you, and some just surprise you.... sucks.

The fact that Passkeys don't have an easy migration path between secret storage tools is also a problem.

But if you know what you're doing they are not only perfectly safe, but REALLY safe. Much safer than any other option we have. And seriously way more convenient as well.

Its the same price as an Apple TV 4K, 4th gen. Which is twice the price of the previous generation.

RAMpocalypse sucks.

I 100% love this idea and example and I very much appreciate it.

OMG. `op read` with agents. Holy shit.

I first clicked this with just a mild curiosity. But as soon as I saw the 1password example. Lightning.

I try to do everything "the right way", no secrets on disk, gitops, the whole shebang. Even for my personal projects. But when working with API keys and agents it can get so frustrating. I refuse to admit to the number of times where I've told the agent "Please write the 1Password creds to .env and use .env instead because I'm tired of clicking approve on my watch 15 times for every test run."

This is a hysterical idea and I love it. I have no need for it because wfh, but its so funny.

It made me realize how easy to would be to build your own custom version of the audio. Feed your corporate approved LLM some content to generate a script on, to mention your company name, your products, your stupid internal codenames because some exec thinks they are clever. Nothing secret of course, and have it generate a bunch of mindless chatter. "Ah yes, lets circle back about Project Panamax, the expected delivery in Q2 is pushed back to Q3 due to the release of the new Guard feature".

I think this is the logical next step in AI. There will be a few large "smart" AI models, but mostly smaller more hyper-specialized. In large part because they are faster to build....and faster/cheaper to run. As the model this post is about shows - you don't need to be able to write the works of shakespear to be able to run a computer.

The frontier models are already getting STUPID expensive. More than the average person certainly can reasonably afford for any use case. And even the business users are having a hard time justifying the prices for anything other than the most bleeding edge, "big picture" things (like creating a huge project plan).

Yea. Super confused.

I have myname .name - so I thought that was going away. Granted I barely use it, but still it would be annoying. I didn't recall there were 3rd level domains there.

Are we still using Redis? License change, no more Kube operators.

AirTags have always been "meh" about "finding" anything in motion. And by that I mean the up close "locate this device". I ASSUME it has to do with the fact that its trying to create a multiple point triangulation using only a single device (eg the phone you are on).

Even an airtag moving a little bit, will give you warnings in find my.

The better solution is the route that Insta360 took with the Go Ultra. The camera has embedded "Find My" technology. No Airtag or hiding things required, the entire camera is the tag.

All we need to do is get more camera companies to follow suit.
