It used to be easy to watch a game; when I was teenager in the 90s, the Indians would air on our local UHF station (channel 43!) and after I'd get home from work around 8 pm, I could usually catch the end of the game with my father before bed. Now it's divided between a variety of cable channels and streaming options.

Many of the elderly people I work with are big Minnesota Timberwolves fans, and they have 0 interest in signing up for DAZN to stream and have cut their cable for cost reasons, so there's no easy way to watch. A few guys I know are Twins fans and listen to the radio for the same reason. Leagues make it hard now.

My cousin quit benzos cold turkey. Dead at 45 from a stroke.

As a 25 year Subaru driver, it's a bit of one and a bit of two. I have a safe ride in the winter and do a full Costco run, and I can book it down curvy dirt roads at unsafe speeds to indulge my inner rally car driver.

Honestly, I can't pick a better job for myself than the one I have now; my bills get paid, I help my community, the day-to-day is interesting and rewarding. But I'd rather have 100% of my time to myself. I can claim my pension from the state at 55, and I fully intend to.

"I've never met anyone who was sorry they had children" I've met my parents for 18 years before I moved away.

I've been waiting for a successor to Aerobiz: Supersonic. I've played about every airline management sim since then, and nothing scratches the itch.

I read something a while ago that said a lot of 'introverts' are just extroverts with social anxiety.

This is a lot of fun. My 'biggest' gripe is that in the shapes quiz Tuvalu and the Seychelles are so tiny that no image displayed for me that I could see.

My wife's friends from her Minecraft server joined us on vacation the past few years. We have multiple people from all over the US and Canada meet us where we're going and we go do touristy stuff together.

One of my all-time favorites. Still reads like a 'modern' book.

The best part of the Singularity is that, once everyone who wants to uploads their consciousness to a computer does so, we mortal humans can simply unplug it and go on about our lives.

I was helping an 80+ year old with a phone problem this week. Dealing with the AI CSA was so frustrating. I don't think this lady was ready to burn down data centers that morning, but I think she was looking for a pitchfork by the afternoon.

Including their ridiculous naming system. Referring to a playstation generation is easy, referring to an xbox generation past the 360 is incredibly difficult.

I used to work in a bookstore, and I've been working in libraries almost my entire career. Most books have no value. I've probably thrown out a million books in my life; most of them have been diet books, cook books, and political biographies.

My current library is around 2000 square feet and I acquire around 1000 books a year, so I have to toss around 1000 books a year, because they're made of matter and take up space.

I've been replaying some of the games of my youth, and they are either super easy or don't take very much time (I remember the original Final Fantasy being this vast epic tale; it took me 9-ish hours to beat as an adult. My Punch-Out reflexes didn't die, and I made it to re-skinned Mike Tyson on my first go.) A third of a game of Civ V takes longer than any of the NES and Genesis games I played as a kid.
