Like the sibling comment mentioned, there's still lots of .net framework apps that target IIS. I haven't used IIS in about 15 years, but this looks like it provides a similar feature set to what Octopus Deploy had back then (Octopus seems to have changed a lot since then). i.e. more than what VS deployment can do.

If anyone responsible for the site's CSS happens to see this, the fixed height in pixels of #header causes the nav bar links to be partially obscured making them more difficult to click. My current window's width is 1600.

Just an FYI, Stride isn't related to MonoGame or XNA. Stride was originally Paradox (and then Xenko) made by Silicon Studio. They eventually open sourced it and let the community take over.

The lead architect (I think) of Xenko also wrote SharpDX which MonoGame used for a while though.

In the dotnet world, SQLx is more analogous to F# type providers like FSharp.Data.SqlClient , SQLProvider or Rezoom.SQL.

There are very few F# specific features used in the book. I imagine you could follow along pretty easily with any other functional language. You can easily use F# for the book and then apply the lessons learned to another language when you're done too. It mainly shows how to use sum types, product types and function composition to implement DDD.

I'm not sure what tendencies you're referring to though. F# has been around for 20 years and has only gotten better over time.

> ^ Has C# projects on github. Don't think that statement is true.

Why?

In a similar vein, I had Western Digital Raptors striped in my gaming PC in the mid 2000s. I remember just how amazed I was after moving to SSDs.
