This is simply conjecture/anecdata but I've viewed the same defensiveness/unwillingness whilst switching between OpenAI and Anthropic subscriptions. OpenAi throws the kitchen sink at whatever task in question and I can't say I saw the same for Opus (haven't mucked with Fable so maybe that's why there is a disparity?)

And then there is whatever copulation the Jazz players are doing with their saxophones.

There is a level of melodious incoherence with Jazz that I can't get onboard with. I think that's the entire point of it but parts of it start to sound like a Sam Ash music store.

Yes, a blessing and a curse but MiTM sounds like it's very much back on the menu.

One of them listed in my state is at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, they do research on Cancer and aren't a medical facility so I don't know if all of those centers act as places people should go.

Kind of not surprised with the domination of Claude Code/Codex out there.

Your 4. is incorrect. Traffic does not get dropped upstream.

This is such a detractive look at human beings. Maybe the dormancy in intelligence is because things are simply good enough.

Single anecdata here.

My mother-in-law has spinal surgery last christmas, the pain for her, prior to the surgery, was unbearable so it's hard to justify not running from that into the arms of a surgeon. The surgeon showed exactly what was to repair though so it was simple enough to understand and clear in the way it was going to help her.

About 9 months out from that surgery and she doesn't have anymore pain.

If you're on MacOS, with atleast an M3 chip and 32GB, you should look at the splash engine.

GNHF seems exactly what I've been aiming for to handle overnight tasks.

I'm actually using that as a catalyst for my own writing; beauty/human-ness in its imperfection. Prior to LLMs and their cultural craze, I harbored a fear that my writing would allow for someone to draw a box around me and mark me as a bore, dullard or of lacking originality.

Now that the noise-floor has been artificially raised (and generated), my crappy words are starting to have their own happy little carbon-based rhythm.

Thank you for this. I wish Apple focused their silicon design on improving the TTFT metrics but coming from an M3 Pro, it still looks laggard compared to Nvidia's TensorCores in the 5090.

Maybe Apple is an acquisition away from changing that balance.

Brian, I know you lurk and post here but i'd love to see those designs make their way to the store so the general public can purchase them.

Others should check out Fluid Voice as it seems privacy focused with a bit more enhancements like custom dictionary.

It's probably magnitudes of token chatter and inter-agent coordination/consideration. Not that I'd want to read any of it but getting some hands around the statistics would be cool.
