Dad is true Smalltalk believer, used to use visual age, instantiations etc but is a happy user of pharo nowadays which is free, opensource and under active development so could give that one a try.

A fellow ADHD sufferer.

I first clicked the enter button and, for once thanks to, slow loading I saw the 15 30 etc options...

So went back and clicked 15 and waited and waited not realizing I needed to press enter. So I'd change that to 15 / 20 / 30 / timeless options and no enter option...

Also after being in the experience for a few second probably I was wondering if the timer was actually running... So maybe show the timer for a few seconds (1500, 1459, 1458,1457 fade...)

Also there was no sound when I entered and then when I clicked the button I got the same text as the hackernews description and it was slightly off and unexpected (slightly off probably being a Firefox + android combo) but yeah would appreciate 2 buttons one settings, one information about or alternatively only show it once and afterwards just the panel).

Also tried to install it as an app as I'd love to have it full screen but kept the bar...

Overall it's brilliant and I'm grateful that you went the ai route and launched.

If you wanted to turn it into a paid project you could go the pixel route and offer this version for free and then the option for a one off payment to add different background, fish representations etc... He made enough money to buy a Mac to make a version for iOS as well and seemingly makes a living off it (oc in argentina, probably not possible in a HCOL lpcation.

Anyway thank you so much and hope there is some useful info here.

Have a great day

I'm using an extension that does exactly that¹, actually every update of the extension is mostly about then supporting more websites and asking permission to access those.

So maybe more developers could do a all sites and manually select sites option?

How exactly do you use it ? Another app or default ?

Regardless of whether that is true or not... Why not start your own site then?

You do understand everything is continuously sucked up everywhere right ? (I mean the pentagon mysteriously unaccounted billions have to go somewhere...)

It's not about copy the best, it's about reducing friction for someone coming from a competing product.

Hence why everyone uses the same play, stop etc "buttons" / signs on "mediaplayers" whether virtual or real. [1]

Unless your user really trusts you / doesn't have an alternative reducing friction is better than being subjectively better [2]

[1] triangle, square etc...

[2] bottom placement versus top placement of browserbar on mobile phones... From an ergonomics perspective way better but from a UX experience worse... Hence chrome changed top to bottom but was forced to change it back on android, while apple forced their users from top to bottom and didn't have to move it back

I don't like what he did with doge at all but the principle of innocent until proven guilty is either for all or for none...

There's a lot more low hanging fruit with higher payoff than optimizing all rail in the USA.

Also, a guess, but I think you might benefit from checking out the actual size of countries vs the Mercator projection size of countries.

I'd say bring someone down is a bit exagerated (distraction is more common) and not assuming the good fate we're supposed to have. Could also be him feeling that it is relevant / applicable ...

The classical saying is “The plural of anecdote is not data.”... hence you should in general on hn bring some actual data based facts (hence me not just using personal experience but also mentioning doctors/1000 metric)

But anyway glad we agree on Europe not 1 and sad to hear about bad healthcare in Poland, hope you get some politicians who actually care to fix it.

You call strawman on someone else and show up with anecdata... And even anecdata with so little information as to be useless.

In all honesty one of the biggest problems in all these discussion is that there is no Europe healthcare / trains /...

Spain has the second most rail in the world per Capita and together with France are one of the best experiences (Japan and China in their own league) while Germany is currently shit and definitely not up to its "reputation".

Public healthcare in Belgium (personal experience, doctors / 1000 people etc) is amongst the best in the world while I guess based on your comment the one in poland is not that good ?

Nevermind the USA that has places like Appalachia and San Francisco
