My guess is since it's an industry with a lot of compliance maybe there was a requirement.

For the first time a friend of mine left a job because they were fed up that 80% of the job was reviewing Claude submissions. I have to admit that would probably drive me nuts as well.

Maybe I don't understand the word snarky but this seemed fine.

I bounced around distros for a good while and nothing ever stuck until I tried Fedora. Now Linux is all I use. It's low friction and low maintenance.

Plus I went and installed a bunch of cool desktop effects so it's cool to me now :)

Oh yes I still use it at work.

The max account is for home projects where I'm basically making some common tools but tailored to myself (diet tracker, note app etc).

It's been great but across work and home it's just too much.

I got a max account during this promotion and it's been very fun but I'm a little burned out and am kind of looking forward to going back and tinkering with game engines without the help of an LLM for code gen (will still use it for documentation questions but I can do that with the free tier)

Glad to see this comment as this has generally been my experience as well. I'm really curious to see why it's so infuriating for others. My best guess is I'm using it more conservatively than most other users in this thread.
