I'm not sure where I place AI (of the current family), but more than directly worry about the actions they may perform I'm actually more worried what affects their usage can have on us as individuals and society.

My employer uses CDN77. Only for serving static resources.

It would be interesting to research more into parameter analysis to learn more about what parameters a trained network has "extracted" that has the strongest predictive power; assuming the model itself has such preductive power. I guess I'm imagining some kind of alternative to embeddings where you get answers like: Predicted percipitation P(accumulated humidity over n days, net wind vector over n days, humity today, temperature today, ...)

That seems to be the case with linguistic- and group practices in general. It's not universal law, and while the overlap of correctness and even best practice is pretty big, there are still differences. Subject matter, language, abstract institution (universities), concrete ditto (Oxford, Chalmers, Max Planck IoT, Royal Academy of {country}), register/style (daily newspaper, tabloid), etc.

"Value generation" is a term I would be somewhat wary of.

To me, in this context, it's similar to drive economic growth on fossil fuel.

Whether in the end it can result in a net benefit (the value is larger than the cost of interacting with it and the cost to sort out the mess later) is likely impossible to say, but I don't think it can simply be judged by short sighted value.

You mean point of local maximum in the mass field?

I don't get it. Why should not tickets be submitted for when a new feature worsen the usability of the product?

I didn't read malice into the post, just using a tongue-in-cheek tone.

My reading was "letting them know doing bad choices will not quitely be accepted".

But I may ofcourse read something into it that wasn't meant.

The analogy would be mandatory inspections of certain components or manufacturing processes to see that rules and specs are followed while assembling.
