If there is one thing I love ... it's old SciFi. I'm looking forward to reading this, thanks!

As a guy who writes software for a living, I rarely put pen or pencil to paper. I type out everything, and print it if I need it. I have nice and simple note taking and list making sites for myself on the www, so that takes care of a lot of what people write for. I am odd, though, in the fact that I LOVE a good pen, and I have several nice ones that I never use.

I am afraid to ask what the parameters are of "an Old", for fear that I may fall into said category.

I have a cure-all for difficult-to-cancel services ... cancel the credit card. I have done it before, and I will do it again if need be. And, I absolutely refuse to give any, ANY company my debit card number or bank account number. I want to be in charge of when my money leaves, and to whom it goes.

I want to sequence, but I absolutely do not want any company or government or church to have access to my data. When the author says:

> "I have a VCF, I can run it through tools like VEP, ClinVar, gnomAD, PharmGKB (highly recommend), Gene Inspector, or Claude"

I am assuming my data is now within the hands of some of the very entities I do not want to have access to my data ... true?

I don't know anything about her music, but she seems pretty cool on the literary front.

I'd love to see one on the toy car where you rub the wheels across a surface several times in a row to get the engine going faster and faster, then on the last rub, you let it go and it zips away.

I am all in favor of going outside ... just don't bring a stink into the workplace.
