This is like saying the design of your mobile operating system barely matters as all you use it for is to open Youtube and a browser. Design is everything when building a product people interact with.

I am getting increasing disillusioned by the number of peers I am seeing completely hand over their thinking to a tool. Agents are great, but if you can't explain to me how your PR changes a system and why design choices were made you are no longer an engineer.

Rule 2 security went out the door months ago. Nobody seems to give a shit that all unmonitored agent runs hit the trifecta.

Sounds awful, natural language sucks for describing complex problems and relationships. That's why people have historically reached for diagrams and pseudo code.

This is a problem which is entirely solvable by existing and new design/production apps. Instead of working entirely with raster image agents should programmatically edit the target file format.

Exactly it is a legal requirement from lawmakers who either don't care or understand privacy implications to implement provenance metadata. California's act came into effect August 1

Where does the feature go for long term ownership? That throws you build it you own it out the window. We are going to get more time for documentation and handover right, right? Engineers are famous for generating good documentation.

I'm still yet to be convinced React Server Components are anything but a disaster to the developer experience. Mixing backend and frontend without a clear boundary is terrible for any codebase beyond a handful of contributors.

Did delivering quality really get easier? I'm certainly not seeing it in the software I use. Delivering scale doesn't mean the mission was executed well.

Takes me back to the week we all thought room temperature super conductors might be a solved problem.

An AI video trend on Instagram as been Han from Tokyo Drift with different cars. People still want to share those on the platforms they are already locked into with their friends.

You can hedge the position via options without having a taxable event on passive investment.

Because post 4.0 dropped the sycophancy?

I'm not seeing that at all. I'm seeing more markdown text being produced by AI but nobody wants to read it because the signal to noise is low. AI doesn't yet have a context window wide enough to have the judgement capability to filter the gold from the fluff for a moderate sized org.
